Break-Even Point Planner
Calculate the fixed-cost recovery units and net revenue for one user-entered SKU and defined period. This is transparent planning arithmetic—not a sales forecast, price recommendation, or financial decision.
Review one fixed-cost recovery scenario
Use one consistent period, SKU, channel/net-revenue treatment, and direct-variable-cost basis.
Scenario inputs
Your entered costs to recover for the period and scenario you define.
Use the same unit, channel, and net-revenue treatment throughout this scenario.
Use one direct-cost basis consistently with the entered net revenue per unit.
Planning outputs
Enter valid fixed-cost and per-unit assumptions to review this scenario.
Entered net revenue per unit less entered direct variable cost per unit.
Whole units required to cover the fixed-cost assumption from positive entered contribution.
Required units multiplied by your entered net revenue per unit.
What this planner does—and does not—show
This browser-local planner divides the fixed-cost, net-revenue, and direct-variable-cost assumptions you enter for one defined scenario. It does not forecast sales, recommend a price, determine a full P&L or profitability, decide whether to launch a product or enter a channel, validate accounting treatment, interpret contracts or tax, or guarantee a financial result. Keep the period, channel, net-revenue treatment, and unit basis consistent; compare consequential decisions with your current records and qualified advisors.
Formula
Formula ID: BREAK-EVEN-FIXED-COST-V1
Contribution per unit = entered net revenue per unit − entered direct variable cost per unit
Required units = fixed costs ÷ positive contribution per unit, rounded up to a whole unit
Break-even net revenue = required units × entered net revenue per unit
