Trade Spend Scenario Planner
Use one consistent SKU, channel, period, currency, and unit basis to review an entered incremental-unit and fixed trade-spend scenario.
Review one defined scenario
Keep every input on the same SKU, period, channel, pack, and unit basis described below.
Scenario inputs
Entered realized or assumed net revenue for one stated SKU, channel, and period basis. Unit: $ per unit.
Entered direct variable cost on the same unit basis. Unit: $ per unit.
Entered incremental-unit assumption for the stated scenario. Unit: units.
Entered fixed total spend for the same scenario and period. Unit: $.
Planning outputs
Enter positive net revenue and incremental units plus non-negative direct variable cost and trade spend.
Not a sales forecast.
Not a complete cost or P&L.
Not a complete margin or profitability result.
Not a validated deduction or funding requirement.
Not true ROI, an actual promotion result, or a funding recommendation.
Not true ROI or a promotion recommendation.
Formula
Formula ID: TRADE-SPEND-INCREMENTAL-SCENARIO-V1
Multiply entered per-unit revenue and variable cost by incremental units, subtract variable cost for contribution before spend, subtract fixed trade spend, and show coverage only when spend is positive.
- Calculate incremental net revenue.
- Calculate incremental direct variable cost.
- Calculate contribution before trade spend.
- Subtract entered fixed trade spend.
- Divide before-spend contribution by positive trade spend for conditional coverage.
What this page does—and does not—show
This browser-local planner calculates only the incremental-unit and fixed-trade-spend scenario entered by the user; it does not predict promotion lift, validate a promotion, determine true ROI, or decide whether spend should be approved.
This page owns one incremental-unit and fixed-spend scenario; channel contribution, price changes, distributor proceeds, and break-even remain separate owner jobs.
Evidence and review boundary
Tier C. This browser-local planner calculates only the incremental-unit and fixed-trade-spend scenario entered by the user; it does not predict promotion lift, validate a promotion, determine true ROI, or decide whether spend should be approved.
Internal operator review
No external rate or rule is embedded; values and assumptions come from the user.
